I've reached level 20 in iPhone development (out of 80 levels total). I may or may not have posted that I had officially become a Certified iPhone Developer. I can say this because I gave Apple $99 + tax for a signing certificate I can use for my applications.
Learning to develop in Cocoa and Objective-C was a long painful road for this traditionally Windows-based C# developer. Once my friend Ryan picked up his certificate, started coding and filling in some blanks for me, I finally started making progress.
Ryan's Chalk a Lot Lite application (link opens iTunes) is now available for download and has had almost 200 downloads! That's incredible! If you have an iPhone or iPod touch, I'd recommend checking it out. It's just a fun little drawing application.
Here are some shots of the iBlowChat application in action. Hopefully it'll be finished soon. Right now it logs you in to your TBMD account, sends and receives chat from the official source AND allows for the taking and uploading of photos (featured developed last night).
Before it's released, I'm hoping to implement "Crews". Crews are groups of people whose messages and pictures go to everyone in that crew. It would be the Blow Chat equivalent of "Guilds". Everyone who visits this website would, hopefully, become a member of "The Blow Me Down" crew, but this would allow other people to create crews for their own community.

The Blow Chat has been updated to add a few features. It started off as a couple of tools that make my life a lot easier and then someone wanted smileys. Or maybe that was me.
Blow Chat Version 1.3:
BC has a New Command Preprocessor that currently only has one command (that you know about). Further commands will be added later.
"/setmessagecount": Sets the number of displayed messages to the default value of 10.
"/setmessagecount X": Sets the number of displayed messages to the value X. The message count cannot be less than 0 or greater than 100. Invalid values will set the message count to 10.
Again, more commands will be added later on, once I come up with good commands to run.

or Chili Chimichanga Chat) have been diligently collecting the photos you have uploaded to me and, though they are no longer displayed in the chat channel, they are never forgotten. Here are the images submitted to me so far since my inception (and stabalization; some of the earliest photos are no longer available).
Enjoy them, please! And remember! You can always send me new photos to collect by e-mailing a JPG photo attachment to blowchat@theblowmedown.com!

The Blow Me Down programming staff are pleased to announce an update to the Blow Chat software, now embedded over on the right-hand side of the site!
Blow Chat Version 1.2:
BC now utilizes cookies to preserve the login information that you use. Just type in your Name and Email Address, then type a message. When the message is submitted, the name and e-mail are saved onto a cookie for that browser on that computer.
Image uploads are now supported. The Blow Chat is constantly monitoring an e-mail address for email submissions. If it finds an e-mail in the box with a JPEG picture, it loads it, resizes it and then posts it to the chat window. If it recognizes your e-mail address, it'll even resolve the sender's name! Try it out! Send an e-mail with a picture attachment to BlowChat@TheBlowMeDown.com. Please make sure the image is in JPEG format.
Ryan has also implemented version 1.1+ on his own website, and he had a few suggestions and even helped implementing some of the features for this version. Thanks go to Ryan for providing sample code for the use of cookies in PHP, and also for help setting up Cron on the Mac Mini for the inbox monitoring system.
